The University has dormitories and provides accommodation on a priority basis to non-resident students, socially vulnerable groups, and beneficiaries, in accordance with the approved housing plan. Information on living conditions, fees, and application procedures is published on the official website and in the admission campaign news.

To apply for a bachelor’s degree at Shakarim University, applicants typically need the following documents: the original school certificate or diploma with transcript, UNT certificate, a copy of an identity document, 3×4 photographs, a medical certificate (form 075-U with fluorography), a copy of the vaccination card (form 063), documents confirming benefits (if applicable), as well as scanned PDF versions of all documents. The exact list, number of photographs, and additional requirements (application form, envelope, file folder, etc.) are specified in the official admission rules and on the “How to apply” page of Shakarim University.

In simple terms: UNT can be taken 5 times a year (January, March, May-July (main), August). Any certificate with a passing grade is suitable for admission to a paid department. To participate in the competition for a state grant, only certificates of the main summer UNT are accepted.

An important nuance: Currently, applicants are given two attempts to pass the main UNT (for example, in May and June). The certificate with the highest score will participate in the grant competition. You cannot combine points in subjects from different certificates.

Grants are allocated not to universities, but to groups of educational programs (GEP) throughout the country (with the exception of targeted grants). The system works like this: the applicant selects up to 4 combinations of “GOP + University”. The information system ranks all applicants in the country according to UNT scores. If the score is high, the system looks at the applicant’s first choice and allocates a grant there.

Advice to applicants: In the first line you need to write your dream university, and in 3-4 lines - universities with a historically lower passing score for the same specialty, in order to be on the safe side.

Maximum score: 140 points.

The minimum (threshold) score depends on the status of the university and specialty:

National universities - 65 points.

To other universities (public and private) - 50 points.

“Pedagogical Sciences” and “Law” - at least 75 points.

“Healthcare” - at least 70 points.

“Agriculture and biological resources”, “Veterinary” - at least 50 points.

In each subject (both basic and specialized) you need to score at least 5 points. Otherwise, the certificate is considered invalid, even if the overall score is high.

The legally established priority comes into force (in descending order):

- Holders of the “Altyn Belgi” sign.
- Holders of the insignia for demonstrated patriotism and active citizenship.
- Winners of international and republican Olympiads (if the profile matches).
- Excellent students (certificate with honors).
- Those who have a higher score in core UNT subjects.
- If all criteria are fully matched, the grant is awarded to both (rare cases regulated by the commission).
